Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League showdown with Burnley.

Manchester United face Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday in the Premier League, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side keen to keep the pressure up in the chase for the top four.

United lost 2-0 to Premier League leaders Liverpool in a thrilling encounter at Anfield last time out.

However, with Chelsea losing away to Newcastle United and Wednesday's opponent Burnley defeating Leicester City, the Old Trafford club did not fall further behind in their pursuit of Champions League football.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the midweek clash.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: February 17 (vs. Chelsea)

Paul Pogba has undergone ankle surgery and is now closing in on a return to first team action. The former Juventus man is currently scheduled to be fit in time to face Chelsea next month.

Scott McTominay

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Scott McTominay has been out since he picked up a knee injury against Newcastle United on Boxing Day. The Scotland international will hope to be back in action next month, but as of yet he has no expected return date.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 1 (vs. Wolves)

Axel Tuanzebe has been out with a hamstring problem since United's 3-0 win over Colchester United in the EFL Cup in December. The England youth international is hoping to be fit to face Wolves in the Premier League next month.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has been in action for the United Under-23s in the last few weeks as he closes in on a return. However, the club do not yet have an expected return date for the versatile defender, as they look to ease him back into first-team football.

Marcos Rojo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 20 (vs. Club Brugge)

Marcos Rojo has been restricted to just nine appearances this season and has recently faced a setback in his recovery that will keep him out until next month at the earliest. Currently, he hopes to return against Club Brugge in the Europa League round of 32.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 22 (vs. Burnley)

Luke Shaw was forced off with cramp after 87 minutes against Liverpool on Sunday and has been made a minor doubt for Wednesday's fixture as a result. Shaw will be assessed ahead of the game, but he should be fit to start if selected.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Out
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: Unknown

Marcus Rashford sustained a stress fracture in his back after coming off the bench against Wolves in the FA Cup last week and could now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The England international does not yet have an expected return date and will be out for at least two months according to current estimations.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for the Premier League match up with Burnley.
