Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham United

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with West Ham United.

Manchester United will be looking to continue their impressive start to the 2021-22 Premier League season when they travel to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils are currently top of the table with 10 points to show from their opening four matches, including a 4-1 home success over Newcastle United last weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will enter the clash with West Ham off the back of a disappointing European result, though, having lost 2-1 to Young Boys in their Champions League group-stage opener on Tuesday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with the Hammers, who are also unbeaten in the league this season.

Scott McTominay

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: September 19 (vs. West Ham United)

Scott McTominay is already back in training after undergoing minor groin surgery, but the Scotland international again missed out against Young Boys and remains a doubt for this contest.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: Unknown

Marcus Rashford has undergone surgery to address a shoulder problem and despite returning to training, the England international is not expected to be available for selection until October.

Alex Telles

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Alex Telles injured his ankle during pre-season training; the Brazilian returned to training over the international break, but Solskjaer revealed last week that the defender is still unavailable for selection.

Edinson Cavani

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: September 22 (vs. West Ham United)

Edinson Cavani will again be absent against West Ham in the league on Sunday but is set to return to first-team training on Monday, so could be available for the EFL Cup clash with the Hammers next week.

Amad Diallo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Solskjaer revealed on Saturday that Amad Diallo, who was linked with a loan move over the summer, is still around one month away from being available for selection as he battles a thigh problem.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for this match.
