Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui will be unavailable for "the next few weeks", having undergone a minor heart procedure.
The full-back made the move to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich over the summer, and he has been a key player for the Red Devils during the 2024-25 campaign, making 10 appearances in all competitions.
Mazraoui was substituted at the interval of Man United's Premier League clash with Aston Villa last weekend, though, with an injury thought to be the reason for his withdrawal.
However, it has been confirmed that the Morocco international has undergone a minor heart operation after experiencing palpitations.
"This is a relatively common condition and Noussair is expected to make a full recovery and be available for selection within the next few weeks," Sky Sports News have quoted a Man United source as saying.

There are allegedly no concerns when it comes to Mazraoui's long-term health, and he is expected to make a full recovery over the next couple of weeks before returning to training with the Red Devils.
Harry Maguire is also facing a spell out with the muscular issue that he suffered against Villa, with Man United suffering yet more defensive injuries in the early stages of this season.
Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro are also currently on the sidelines, meaning that Diogo Dalot will likely switch to right-back after the international break, with Lisandro Martinez or Victor Lindelof being required at left-back.
Shaw has a slight chance of being available for the clash with Brentford next weekend, but it is more likely that he will be back on the field towards the end of the month.
Mazraoui started his professional career with Ajax in 2017, featuring 137 times for the club, before making the move to Bayern Munich in 2022, and he turned out for the Munich giants on 55 occasions.
The full-back has been a key player for Man United in the early stages of the 2024-25 campaign, but he now faces a battle to be back on the field before the end of the year.
