Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been ruled out of Saturday's Premier League match with West Ham United and the Champions League game against Wolfsburg.
The 30-year-old, who has scored just four goals since the end of August, is suffering from an ankle problem, meaning that he will be sidelined for the visit of the Hammers.
Rooney will also miss Wednesday's trip to Germany to take on Wolfsburg as they look for the win which would ensure their progress to the Champions League knockout stage.
United boss Louis van Gaal has told MUTV that the issue is a "nasty injury" and "more heavy than we first thought" when looking ahead to his side's next test.
Defender Marcos Rojo will also be absent from the game against West Ham after injuring his shoulder in training earlier this week.
