Norwich City manager Dean Smith has provided an injury update on Joshua Sargent ahead of their upcoming match with Manchester United.

The striker suffered an ankle injury in training on April 2, and the American has been unavailable for the squad since that point.

The 22-year-old has two goals to his name in the Premier League this season, and there is now hope that he will be fit enough to make the trip to Old Trafford.

"He has still got the boot on, I think that comes off hopefully in time for Manchester United, if not Newcastle United," Smith confirmed to the press.

The Canaries will face Ralf Rangnick's men on Saturday, April 16, as they look to secure consecutive victories after defeating Burnley this past weekend.

It was a crucial three points in their fight for survival, but Norwich still remain bottom of the Premier League with seven games to go.
