Ander Herrera has revealed that he missed Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon because of a "little injury".
The Spanish midfielder was a surprise omission from the Red Devils squad at Villa Park, but has explained that he sat out due to a minor fitness issue.
Herrera tweeted: "Well done mates! One more point to keep us in the top positions. I can't be with the team today due to a little injury, but I will be ready again soon. Cheers to everyone!"
Radamel Falcao cancelled out Christian Benteke's first-half strike before Gabriel Agbonlahor's second-half sending off, but United could not find a second goal as their six-game winning streak came to an end.
Herrera, who cost £29m from Athletic Bilbao in the summer, has started just once for United since October 20.
