Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of this week's EFL Cup quarter-finals, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and holders Man City in action.

Aston Villa vs. Liverpool (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

A place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup is up for grabs on Tuesday night when Aston Villa welcome a weakened Liverpool squad to Villa Park.

The vast majority of the visitors' senior players will be in Qatar for the Club World Cup instead of this match, leaving Under-23 boss Neil Critchley to attempt the unlikely and unusual feat of using the youth team to secure the club's place in the last four.

We say: Aston Villa 3-0 Liverpool

Stranger things have happened in football, but this is the one match Liverpool will go into this season expecting to lose. The simple fact is that this will be a Premier League side against an Under-23 side, and when it boils down to that there can surely only be one outcome.

Everton vs. Leicester (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Everton play host to Leicester City in the EFL Cup quarter-finals with caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson having recorded four points from two games in temporary charge.

While the Foxes make the trip to Goodison Park sitting in second place in the Premier League table, Brendan Rodgers must consider whether to make changes to his starting lineup.

We say: Everton 1-2 Leicester City

While Toffees fans will want to go further in this competition, Leicester may be better equipped to deal with the extra fixture in a hectic schedule. With changes aplenty expected, we feel that the Foxes will grind out a win on Merseyside.

Oxford vs. Man City (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Manchester City will be looking to continue their recent dominance of the EFL Cup when they take on League One Oxford United in the quarter-finals of the competition at the Kassam Stadium on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola's side have lifted the trophy four times in the past six seasons, including both of the last two, and will be overwhelming favourites to advance to the semi-finals at the expense of their lower-league opponents.

We say: Oxford 0-4 Man City

It is difficult to see anything other than a comfortable away win in this match given the gulf in class between the two teams. Man City have not suffered from complacency going into games against lower-league opposition recently and it is unlikely that Guardiola would allow them to do so this time around.

Man Utd vs. Colchester (Wednesday, 8pm)

Manchester United face Colchester United in the EFL Cup quarter-finals, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to move a step closer to winning his first trophy as manager at the North-West giants.

However, after already defeating two Premier League sides en route to the last eight, League Two side Colchester will relish the challenge of playing at Old Trafford.

We say: Manchester United 4-0 Colchester United

Despite the prospect of United making mass alterations, they should still have far too much quality for their lowly opponents, who may find it difficult to take a third top-flight scalp in quick succession.
