Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has scored a stunning equaliser for his side against Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
The visitors had taken an early lead in the derby courtesy of another memorable strike, Marcus Rashford thundering in a 25-yard first-time effort off the underside of the crossbar.
Man City dominated possession and territory throughout the first half, but failed to find a leveller as even the Premier League's top scorer Erling Haaland squandered a glorious chance to restore parity.
However, having seen their chief marksman miss an open goal from just yards out, Man City did finally equalise with a much more difficult chance.
Foden collected the ball from Rodri before cutting inside onto his left foot and unleashing a clean strike into the same top corner that Rashford had picked out in the first half.
Andre Onana had enjoyed an impressive first half in the Man United goal, but he could not lay a glove on Foden's strike as Man City made it 1-1 11 minutes into the second half.
Man United were unhappy with the goal after claiming that Rashford had been fouled by Kyle Walker at the other end of the pitch just moments before, and manager Erik ten Hag's protests on the touchline earned him a yellow card.
