Bolton boss Owen Coyle has said that Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is one of England's greatest ever footballers.
Scholes, who came out of retirement ahead of last weekend's FA Cup fixtures, will be in contention to make his first Premier League appearance since the end of last season when his side welcome Bolton to Old Trafford this weekend.
However, the Scot has had nothing but praise for the 37-year-old.
"Paul Scholes is an outstanding player, one of the best this country has ever produced," he told the club's official website.
"When he came on the pitch last Sunday, he made more passes because he wanted the ball and wanted to pass and move it.
"He is a credit to himself and if he plays against us on Saturday then we know he is another dangerous opponent that we had to watch out for."
Scholes, who has spent his entire career at Old Trafford, made over 450 appearances in 17 seasons at the club.
