Rio Ferdinand is "furious" with Roy Hodgson after the England coach was captured on video discussing the defender's international career.
The former Liverpool boss was caught on camera phone on the London Tube revealing that the Manchester United player's time in the England set-up is over.
Ferdinand now believes that Hodgson has a personal issue with him and claims that the matter has been poorly handled, according to The Mirror.
The report appears to contradict a recent statement from the FA, which claimed a voicemail apology that Hodgson sent to Ferdinand was accepted.
"Roy has left a personal message on Rio's voicemail as well as texts and calls to representatives apologising to him. We've had a confirmation back from his advisors that apology has been accepted," read the statement.
Ferdinand, 33, has been capped 81 times by England.
