Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described the job that David Moyes has done at Everton as "amazing".
Moyes, who celebrates 10 years at Goodison Park later this month, has led the Toffees to an FA Cup final and four top-six finishes while under a notoriously tight budget.
"You take myself and Arsene Wenger and the length of time we have been at our clubs, but we have had success to help us on our way," said Ferguson. "David has had to contend with not having a strong financial structure.
"He has to get the best out of the players he has had available and has done an amazing job."
Ferguson was also quick to praise his fellow Scot's personality.
"He has a grittiness and determination that has allowed him to be in there all the time," he added.
"No matter how many players he has had injured he produces a team that has represented the club very well.
"He is a first-class manager."
