Sir Alex Ferguson has rejected the speculation linking Manchester United with a summer move for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.
Reports in the press have claimed that the Colombia international is on Ferguson's wishlist, but the Red Devils manager has laughed off the reports.
A report in Spanish newspaper Marca revealed that the Premier League leaders were close to agreeing a deal to bring Falcao to Old Trafford, although Ferguson has played down the rumours.
"Do you honestly believe that?" Ferguson is quoted as saying on the club's official website. "Really? It does amaze me that you come up with that one."
Falcao joined Atletico from Porto in 2011.
