Manchester United have confirmed the squad numbers for new signings Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Martinez, who officially completed his move to the 20-time English champions on Wednesday, will wear the number six shirt for the club in the new season.
Meanwhile, Eriksen will sport the number 14, and both players are expected to be in action for the club in Saturday's pre-season friendly with Atletico Madrid in Norway.
Man United will also take on Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford on Sunday, with a largely second-string outfit likely to feature against the La Liga side.
Eriksen and Martinez both made their unofficial debuts for the 20-time English champions in Wednesday's behind-closed-doors fixture with Wrexham.
Eriksen made the breakthrough in the pre-season friendly, with the Denmark international also recently being confirmed as a new signing this summer, joining on a free transfer from Brentford.
The Denmark international has taken over the number 14 shirt from Jesse Lingard, who departed the club on a free transfer last month to join Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, Martinez has taken on the number six shirt from Paul Pogba, with the Frenchman also leaving the Red Devils at the end of June following the expiration of his contract.
Following their final two pre-season fixtures against Atletico and Rayo this weekend, Man United will have a full week of training before opening their 2022-23 Premier League campaign against Brighton & Hove Albion on August 7.
Tyrell Malacia became the team's first signing of the summer from Feyenoord, and the Netherlands international was involved during the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.
"It's an honour to join this great football club. I've worked so hard to get to this moment and, now that I'm here, I'm going to push myself even further," Martinez told the club's official website on Wednesday.
"I've been lucky enough to be part of successful teams in my career and that's what I want to continue at Manchester United. There will be a lot of work to get to that moment, but I firmly believe that, under this manager and coaches, and together with my new teammates, we can do it.
"I want to thank Ajax and their fans for all the support they gave me. I had an unbelievable time there but feel the moment is right to test myself in another environment. Now I am at the perfect club to do this."
Martinez will seemingly battle Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane for a starting role in the middle of the Man United defence for the new season.
Eriksen, meanwhile, gives new head coach Erik ten Hag options further forward, with the Dane capable of playing as an attacker or a central midfielder. body check tags ::
