Manchester United's owners the Glazer family have reportedly warned manager Jose Mourinho to be more careful with his behaviour in the public eye.
Mourinho is facing an FA charge which could lead to a touchline ban after being accused of swearing in Portuguese into a TV camera during his side's 3-2 win over Newcastle United earlier this month.
The Portuguese boss has also been reminded of his responsibilities by the FA following his involvement in the fracas at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after Chelsea's last-gasp equaliser.
The Glazer family are understood to be concerned about the effect Mourinho's behaviour is having on the club's reputation and have told him to be wary of his outspoken nature in the future.
United's owners have also reportedly warned Mourinho not to fan the flames of an ongoing war of words with club legend Paul Scholes, who has regularly criticised the team in recent years.
The Glazers are reportedly fearful that a feud with such a distinguished figure in the club's history will divide supporters and further increase tensions between United and Mourinho.
