Manchester United could hand a first-team debut to 17-year-old Alejandro Garnacho against Norwich City at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The youngster has been included in the matchday squad following the injury to Fred, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick lacking options due to a number of injury absences in his squad.
After working his way through the Atletico Madrid academy, Garnacho joined United in October 2020, and has gone on to impress in the youth teams for the Red Devils this season.
Usually playing as a left winger, the Argentinian has scored three times in the Premier League 2 this campaign, whilst also featuring in the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup.
Following injuries to the likes of Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani, as well as Fred, Garnacho joined the rest of the squad at the Lowry Hotel on Friday ahead of Saturday's match at Old Trafford.
United currently occupy seventh place in the Premier League table ahead of their clash with relegation-threatened Norwich, and find themselves six points off Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the top four. body check tags ::
