Arsenal legend Frank McLintock has questioned Arsene Wenger's record in the transfer market, insisting that the Gunners boss must bring in new faces.
The former Scotland international said that there is a "crisis" at the club when the transfer window is open, urging the Frenchman to strengthen his squad ahead of the impending deadline.
"There seems to be a crisis for Arsenal every time the transfer window is open," he told talkSPORT. "The last one was when Arsene Wenger signed five players on the closing day of the window last year.
"It seems strange planning. I wonder why they couldn't come to this decision about Theo Walcott a month ago.
"Arsenal would then know what he's doing and the fans would know what's going on. They would also have the chance to get another player in."
The Gunners lost Robin van Persie to Manchester United and Alex Song to Barcelona this summer.
