Manchester United manager David Moyes has conceded that his players were not good enough during Sunday's 4-1 defeat at Manchester City in the Premier League.
The English champions were brushed aside at the Etihad Stadium as they slumped to their second loss of the season.
"We didn't play well enough to win the game," Moyes told Sky Sports News.
"Manchester City played well and deserved the victory. We never got a grip of the game and we could never really stop them.
"We hoped to stem that tide in the second half. We got better as the game went on but it was too late."
The result has left United in eighth place in the Premier League table after five matches.
