Phil Neville has paid tribute to departing Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra.
The French international arrived at Old Trafford in January 2006 and went on to win five Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League once.
Having learned of Evra's switch to Juventus, former United defender Neville, who is expected to be given a role on Louis van Gaal's coaching staff at Old Trafford, described the 33-year-old as a "fighter and a leader".
"Great quotes from Patrice Evra about how he felt playing for man utd - he was fighter and a leader and a top left back," Neville wrote on Twitter. "Played every game, every season and never missed a training session - a proper player!"
Evra made a total of 379 appearances for United in all competitions.
