Ralf Rangnick's future role with Manchester United is still uncertain, according to a report.

The current interim manager originally took over following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but that was only on a temporary basis until the end of this season.

However, the 63-year-old also agreed to take on a consultancy job with the Red Devils afterward, originally on a two-year basis.

According to Sky Sports News, the exact role that Rangnick will be undertaking from the end of this campaign is still uncertain, and it is not expected to be hands on.

There have been no official talks between the club and manager regarding what the job will entail, with those in charge deciding to hold off on those to allow him to focus on coaching.

Right now Manchester United are sixth in the Premier League table, being four points away from the Champions League positions.
