Wayne Rooney has revealed that he and his Manchester United teammates were unfazed by the aerial protest against manager David Moyes at Old Trafford this afternoon.
A banner reading "Wrong One - Moyes Out" was flown over the 'Theatre of Dreams' at the start of United's clash with Aston Villa today.
However, the England international insists that nobody at the club paid any heed to incident, insisting that the underfire Scot has the support of the players and the majority of fans.
"To be honest we made nothing of it. We know the manager has support from the players and the fans. It doesn't matter what is being said elsewhere," he told BBC Sport.
Rooney scored two first-half goals to cancel out Ashley Westwood's opener, before further strikes from Juan Mata and Javier Hernandez helped the Red Devils secure a 4-1 victory in the Premier League.
