Jadon Sancho deletes his much-discussed social media post, hinting at a possible return for Manchester United.

Jadon Sancho has deleted his much-discussed social media post, which criticised the comments made by Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag following the recent clash with Arsenal.

Ten Hag revealed after the game with the Gunners that Sancho had not been a part of the squad at the Emirates Stadium due to some poor performances in training.

Sancho took to social media later in the evening to slam the comments from his manager and claimed that he had been made "a scapegoat for a long time".

The 23-year-old's tweet had been pinned to the top of his 'X' profile until Tuesday afternoon, when it was removed by the Englishman.

Sancho is said to have held face-to-face talks with Ten Hag on Monday, with the two individuals looking to determine whether their relationship could be saved after recent events.

There have been widespread reports surrounding the attacker's future since the game against Arsenal, with Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ettifaq allegedly attempting to sign him before their transfer deadline.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are also believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation with a view to potentially making a move during the January transfer window.

A recent report claimed that Sancho is determined to leave Man United at the start of 2024, with the 20-time English champions unlikely to stand in his way.

However, the fact that the social media post has now been removed from his profile suggests that there could have been a big development on Tuesday following further talks.

Man United will resume Premier League duties against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon, and it remains to be seen whether Sancho is involved.

There is now an obvious spot open in the first XI for the former Manchester City youngster, with Antony out for the foreseeable future while he addresses the abuse allegations levelled at him.

Facundo Pellistri is believed to be ahead of Sancho when it comes to the role on the right of the attack, though, while Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount can also be used in that area.

Sancho has found it difficult to make his mark for the Red Devils since arriving from Dortmund in 2021, only managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances in all competitions.

The forward has another three years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, though, with the option of a further 12 months. body check tags ::
