Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that he was pleased with the performances of Fred and Nemanja Matic in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to Arsenal.
Injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba saw Fred and Matic continue in the middle of the park, but the pair could not help their side pick up a positive result at the Emirates Stadium.
Solskjaer, though, was keen to pay tribute to his midfield duo after the match when discussing the continued absences of McTominay and Pogba through knee and ankle injuries respectively.
"I am happy with them, they played well the two of them," Solskjaer told reporters.
The Red Devils will look to return to winning ways when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
