Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has insisted that he is unwilling to leave Ivan Perisic out of his pre-season plans, despite the winger reportedly closing in on a move to Manchester United.
Perisic is a long-term target for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and is said to have already been the subject of a couple of failed bids, both falling short of Inter's rumoured £50m asking price.
The Croatia international is a part of the Nerazzurri squad for their tour of the Far East over the next nine days, however, and Spalletti intends to give him extended playing time against the likes of Bayern Munich and Chelsea so that he can regain his fitness ahead of the new campaign.
"He'll play and, given that he didn't play the friendly matches in Brunico, he'll play more than the others," he told reporters.
Latest reports in Italy suggest that Inter are refusing to budge on their valuation of the wideman, who netted 10 goals in Serie A last season.
