Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has praised David de Gea's contribution in his side's victory against Everton.
The Spanish goalkeeper stopped a Leighton Baines penalty just before the break, the save proving crucial as the hosts won 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Van Gaal told reporters after the game: "Everton got chances outside the box and they had good shots, but David De Gea was fantastic.
"It was not easy for him because he had a lot of players in front of his view. Despite that he stopped good and speedy shots. I was very pleased with his performance."
Manchester United climb to fifth in the Premier League table following the win.
