Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has claimed that Angel di Maria is slowly adapting to the rigours of the English game.
The Argentine winger scored three goals in his first five Red Devils games after joining from Real Madrid in the summer.
However, he has struck only once since, in the last minute of the FA Cup third round tie against Yeovil Town back in January.
Van Gaal told BBC Sport: "Adaptation from him is the best thing. He has to realise and he is realising that. It's not a problem with him. I have to compare him with other players, that is the law of top sport."
Di Maria was included in Man Utd's starting XI for Wednesday's Premier League game away at Newcastle United.
