Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly relieved fitness coach Tony Strudwick of his duties with the first team.
On several occasions this season, Van Gaal has bemoaned the number of injuries to senior players that he has had to contend with when selecting his starting lineup.
However, there is no suggestion that Van Gaal was disappointed in Strudwick's work, more that Van Gaal is eager to work alongside somebody that he is familiar with, according to the Daily Mail.
It is believed that Van Gaal has since appointed Jos van Dijk to the role, having recently worked with his fellow Dutchman with the national side.
The report adds that Strudwick, 42, will remain at the club.
