Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was critical of Bastian Schweinsteiger's second-half performance following his side's pre-season friendly against San Jose Earthquakes in California.
The German World Cup winner played in his second game for the Red Devils on Tuesday night following his £14m move from Bayern Munich last week.
While Van Gaal was happy with the team's first-half display, the Dutchman wanted more from his side in the second 45 minutes of their 3-1 victory.
When asked by reporters how he thought Schweinsteiger performed in the second half, Van Gaal said: "He was also bad. Players can play bad, and certainly when you have three or six days' training session in your legs and you have to play 45 minutes. Everyone can think that it's easy to step in, but it's not so easy."
United will face Barcelona in the International Champions Cup in California on Saturday.
