Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following his actions in the 2-2 draw with Leeds United at the weekend.
The 20-year-old, who will join Manchester United at the end of the season, took to Twitter to apologise for his actions.
"It was very unprofessional of me," tweeted the winger.
However, it has not saved him from suffering punishment from the FA for the one-fingered gesture.
Palace boss Ian Holloway has also been charged for alleged misconduct towards the match officials in that particular Championship match.
