Manchester United will be without the services of Edinson Cavani for Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at Old Trafford.

Cavani picked up a calf problem while representing Uruguay against Chile on Tuesday, and the experienced forward is set to be unavailable for selection for a couple of weeks.

Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba had both emerged as doubts after picking up problems while representing France over the international break, but the duo were both involved against South Africa on Tuesday and should be declared fit to play here.

Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were both left out of the latest England squad so will both be fresh, and it would not be a surprise to see the duo in the first XI for this match.

Fred and Alex Telles will both need to be assessed due to their international commitments with Brazil, although both should be involved providing that they have not suffered any fitness problems.

Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw could feature in the full-back positions, while Harry Maguire - booed by England fans over the international break - will captain the team from centre-back.

Pogba was left out of the starting XI against Atletico Madrid before the international break and could again find himself out of the side here, with interim head coach Ralf Rangnick potentially opting for a defensive midfield partnership of Fred and Scott McTominay.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; Rashford, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo body check tags ::
