Team News: Cristiano Ronaldo missing for Manchester United against Leicester City

Manchester United are missing Cristiano Ronaldo for Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at Old Trafford through illness.

Manchester United are without the services of Cristiano Ronaldo for Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at Old Trafford.

Red Devils interim head coach Ralf Rangnick did not mention that the Portugal international could be unavailable when speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

However, Ronaldo was not with the Man United squad on Friday evening, and an illness has prevented the attacker from making the squad for the clash with the Foxes.

In his absence, Bruno Fernandes could play as a false nine, with Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga operating in the wide positions.

Paul Pogba was named on the bench for the Champions League last-16 second leg with Atletico Madrid before the international break, but he is back in the side for this match.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw is given the nod over Alex Telles at left-back, and Diogo Dalot is preferred to Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right.

Harry Maguire was booed by England supporters during the recent international break, but the central defender captains Man United once again in this match.
