Sports Mole reflects on the 16th round of Premier League matches with a selection of facts and figures from each of the 10 fixtures.

Burnley 1-0 Southampton

From being one of the Premier League's form sides, Southampton have now collected just one point from the last 15 available to them.

In contrast, previously struggling Burnley have picked up 11 points from their last six matches.

The victory was Burnley's first in the Premier League in the month of December at the ninth attempt.

Chelsea 2-0 Hull City

Eden Hazard opened the scoring for Chelsea, meaning that his last 11 Premier League goals have all been scored at Stamford Bridge.

As for Diego Costa, his goal was the 400th to have been scored in the Premier League this season.

Meanwhile, visiting Hull are now without a win from their last nine outings.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Stoke City

James McArthur scored for the first time in Crystal Palace colours since his summer switch from Wigan Athletic.

However, the draw means that the Eagles have won just one of their last 10 Premier League matches.

Stoke are also on a poor run, having won only two of their previous eight Premier League fixtures.

Leicester City 0-1 Manchester City

Man City midfielder Frank Lampard scored for the 175th time in the Premier League, taking him level with former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry in fourth on the all-time goalscorers list.

His goal ensured that City stretched their unbeaten run against Leicester to seven matches in all competitions.

As for the hosting Foxes, they are winless from their last 11 Premier League matches.

Sunderland 1-1 West Ham United

Sunderland are the Premier League's draw specialists, having recorded 10 from their 16 matches this term.

Six of those 10 draws have come in front of their own supporters at the Stadium of Light.

West Ham have been beaten just once in their last 10 outings.

West Bromwich Albion 1-0 Aston Villa

The victory was West Brom's first in the Premier League since November 1 - a run that stretched back five matches.

The winner came from former Villa midfielder Craig Gardner, who scored his first goal for the Baggies since he joined the club from Sunderland in the summer.

In the 17 Premier League meetings between these West Midlands rivals, there has never been a greater winning margin than one goal.

Arsenal 4-1 Newcastle United

Olivier Giroud has featured against Newcastle on five occasions, during which he has scored six goals.

Four of those goals have been scored by the Frenchman with his head. In fact, every headed attempt that he has had against the Magpies has gone in.

Visiting Newcastle have lost all of their last six Premier League matches against the Gunners.

Manchester United 3-0 Liverpool

In his last 100 Premier League appearances at Old Trafford, Wayne Rooney, who put United 1-0 up, has scored 66 goals and assisted 28 (94 goals in total).

Meanwhile, up the other end, United goalkeeper David de Gea was forced to make eight saves - no keeper has made more in one match in the top flight this season.

As for Liverpool, their return of 21 points from 16 games is their lowest total since the 1964-65 campaign.

Swansea City 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Wilfried Bony's goal was the 20th that he has scored in the Premier League in 2014 - no player has scored more.

For Spurs, Harry Kane found the net for the 11th time this season, although this was only the third that he has scored in the Premier League.

Swansea have not beaten Spurs in a league encounter for 32 years.

Everton 3-1 Queens Park Rangers

Ross Barkley ended a run of eight Premier League appearances without having scored a goal.

QPR, meanwhile, have lost their opening eight away matches this season. Only Bolton Wanderers in 1995-96 have had a worse run (nine matches).

The R's have taken just 13 points from their last 40 Premier League away matches.
