Luis Suarez has claimed that not everything is 'as it seems' after the Uruguayan was at the centre of the controversy surrounding Manchester United's 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday.
Suarez refused to shake hands with Patrice Evra before the match, the first meeting between the two since Suarez was banned for eight matches after racially abusing the Frenchman.
Suarez's actions triggered a bust-up in the tunnel at half-time that required police intervention and angered Sir Alex Ferguson, but the Uruguayan claims there is more to the situation than meets the eye.
"We lost and we are sad because we have made a big effort... Disappointed because everything is not that it seems..." he said on his Twitter.
The result puts Manchester United top of the Premier League, one point ahead of local rivals City, who have a game in hand.
