Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti 'receives offer from Premier League'

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly been offered a contract by a team in the Premier League.

The legendary Italian manager has had two spells in English football previously, leading Chelsea to the Premier League title, as well as spending 18 months at Everton.

Since leaving the Toffees to return to the Bernabeu for a second spell in charge, Ancelotti has won a 14th Champions League crown in 2022, beating Everton's rivals Liverpool in the final.

Real were beaten semi-finalists last season though, going down to eventual-winners Manchester City, as rivals Barcelona also pipped them to the La Liga title.

There has been heavy speculation linking Ancelotti with the Brazil national job at the end of the current club season with the manager expected to depart, and Fernando Diniz only expected to be a stop-gap choice in charge of Brazil for now.

Despite that though, Fichajes claims that Ancelotti has received an offer from a Premier League club looking for a new manager next season.

Ancelotti has still not decided on what his future plans will be, despite claims from the Brazil FA that a deal has been agreed.

The club itself has not been named, only leading to increased speculation, but many of the Premier League's biggest clubs are not currently interested in changing managers.

There is said to be no possibility of a return to either of his previous Premier League clubs or to Man City, so the report speculates that Manchester United could be the club interested in bringing Ancelotti back to the Premier League.

With a takeover from Jim Ratcliffe pending, there are claims that he could be interested in taking the club in a new direction with an overhaul.

Current manager Erik ten Hag has been under intense pressure for much of the season, after some bruising home defeats and poor showings in cup competitions.

Wednesday's 3-3 draw with Galatasaray in the Champions League means that United will go into matchday six with their destiny out of their hands against an already-qualified Bayern Munich.

United are also out of the EFL Cup, the only trophy that they won last season, and sit sixth in the Premier League table currently. body check tags ::
