Zinedine Zidane has reportedly been told to reject all other job offers as Manchester United continue to deliberate on Jose Mourinho's future.
The Frenchman, out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season, is considered the favourite to succeed Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Mourinho's future is in great doubt following a poor start to his third campaign at the helm, though Saturday's 3-2 home win over Newcastle United may have bought him some more time.
According to The Mirror, however, there are still plans to bring in Zidane at some point and the 46-year-old would welcome the chance to manage United.
The report suggests that the four-time Champions League winner - three of those successes coming during his short time in management - is now on standby to take the call when the Red Devils decide to swing the axe.
United head into the international break sitting eighth in the Premier League, five points adrift of the top four.
