The Belgium midfielder is recalled to the side to face his former club, while Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck retain their places following the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Everton have made two changes from the side that beat Stoke City 4-0 on Saturday as Gerard Deulofeu and Leon Osman make way for Ross Barkley and Kevin Mirallas.
