Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that new signing Amad Diallo could be involved in Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
The Red Devils agreed a deal for the 18-year-old last summer, but the attacker did not officially arrive from Atalanta BC until earlier this month due to work permit and passport issues.
Diallo was pictured at the club's training complex for the first time on Wednesday before training alongside his new teammates on Thursday.
Solskjaer has said that the youngster will need time to settle at Old Trafford but has refused to rule out the possibility of the new arrival featuring against Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.
"Let him have some time," Solskjaer told Dagbladet. "But whether it is against Liverpool in the league, in the FA Cup, this weekend or in a few weeks it is questionable. We have a very fresh squad. There are only one or two that are questionable for the weekend.
"I do not rule out that he is in the squad for the Liverpool match. Things can happen. You see how fast things happen over here in England. Suddenly, a team has six players out with coronavirus. So you do not know. I do not want to put any time on it, but he is at least in the group, trains with us and can be chosen in the squad."
Diallo only made two appearances for Atalanta in the first half of the 2020-21 season, featuring against Hellas Verona in Serie A and FC Midtjylland in the group stage of the Champions League.
