  • Bayern Munich, Al-Nassr 'express interest in Tottenham defender'

Bayern Munich and Al-Nassr have reportedly expressed an interest in signing an out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur defender this summer.

Three years ago, the capture of Emerson Royal from Barcelona was seen as a major coup, as the 25-year-old had made a name for himself during a two-season stint with Real Betis.

Barcelona exercised their right to buy Emerson back before selling him onto Tottenham for profit, but the defender has not been able to adapt to the demands of Premier League football.

Emerson has four goals and two assists to show from 101 matches in a Spurs jersey, but he has been relegated to the Lilywhites' second-choice right-back behind Pedro Porro and has enjoyed limited game time recently.

Chelsea 'set asking price for defender ahead of transfer window'

Chelsea have reportedly reached a decision over an asking price for defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Last summer, it was an open secret that the arrival of Axel Disasi and reintegration of Levi Colwill effectively left Chalobah out in the cold.

However, rather than move to either Bayern Munich or Nottingham Forest, the versatile academy graduate ultimately stayed put, yet spent up to February on the sidelines through injury.

Having failed to make a single competitive appearance under Mauricio Pochettino, the perception was that the 24-year-old's Chelsea career was nearing an end.

Ligue 1 manager confirms interest in signing Man United defender

The manager of a top-half Ligue 1 club has confirmed that he would be interested in working with a departing Manchester United centre-back next season.

Earlier this month, experienced Frenchman Raphael Varane confirmed that he would be leaving the Red Devils at the end of the season, as the club decided against triggering his one-year contract extension.

Varane will leave Old Trafford after giving Erik ten Hag's side three years of service, during which he has made 94 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

The 31-year-old made his comeback from a muscular injury off the bench against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, and he is expected to be involved in this weekend's FA Cup final, which will be his last appearance for the club.

Arsenal-linked striker 'receives lucrative Saudi Arabia offers'

A talented youthful striker apparently wanted by Arsenal is now believed to be the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League.

RB Leipzig hotshot Benjamin Sesko was previously on the books at sister club Red Bull Salzburg before transferring to Germany last summer, and he hit the ground running in his first Bundesliga campaign.

The 20-year-old has struck 18 goals in 42 matches for Die Roten Bullen in all tournaments - 14 of which have come in the top flight - and he ended the campaign in magnificent form.

Sesko found the back of the net in each of Leipzig's last seven Bundesliga matches to help the club finish fourth in the table, sealing qualification for next season's Champions League in the process.

Aston Villa 'on brink of signing player from relegated PL club'

Aston Villa are reportedly closing in on the summer addition of Luton Town midfielder Ross Barkley.

Although Villa concluded the campaign with an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, it has been otherwise successful campaign in the Premier League.

Unai Emery has guided Villa to their first-ever appearance in the Champions League courtesy of finishing in fourth position in the standings.

As a result, the Spaniard will now work diligently with the club's recruitment team in order to make signings that make sense for the club at a time when they are somewhat restricted by financial regulations.

Man United 'willing to accept £34.2m offers for 32-year-old'

Manchester United have reportedly set an asking price for one of their more experienced players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Erik ten Hag and his squad concluded their 2023-24 Premier League campaign on Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 victory away at Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, courtesy of Newcastle United's 4-2 success at Brentford, it meant that the Red Devils would finish in eighth position in the table, their lowest-ever in the competition.

Although Man United still have a FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday to look forward to, speculation persists that Ten Hag could be removed from his position in the dugout regardless of the outcome.

Glasner issues fresh update on futures of in-demand Crystal Palace trio

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has issued a fresh update on the futures of in-demand trio Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta ahead of the summer transfer window.

All three attackers have been given a new lease of life since the arrival of Glasner in mid-February and their magnificent form has been a huge contributing factor to the club's strong end to the campaign.

Palace were sitting 16th in the Premier League table and just five points above the relegation zone when Glasner took the reins, but a run of six wins and one draw in their final seven matches helped the Eagles soar into the top 10, finishing 23 points clear of the drop zone.

In that time, both Olise (four goals, three assists) and Eze (five goals, two assists) have contributed to seven goals each, while Mateta has recorded nine goals and one assist whilst operating as a central striker.

Experienced Arsenal defender confirms exit on free transfer

A long-serving Arsenal defender has confirmed that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Experienced right-back Cedric Soares has given the Gunners four-and-a-half years of service since initially joining on loan from Southampton midway through the 2019-20 campaign.

The 32-year-old's stay was made permanent that same summer, and he has since made 64 appearances for Mikel Arteta's side in all tournaments, scoring twice and setting up five more goals.

Cedric was particularly important to the Gunners in the 2021-22 season during Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney's spells out through injury, but he has since slipped down the pecking order in North London.

Man Utd, Bayern 'among clubs interested in French centre-back'

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are reportedly among a number of clubs interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg centre-back Oumar Solet.

The 24-year-old has developed into a key first-team player for Salzburg since joining the club from Lyon in 2020, making 106 appearances across all competitions.

Solet has won three Austrian Bundesliga titles and two Austrian Cup during his four-year spell with Salzburg, although they lost out to Sturm Graz in the top-flight title race this term.

The defender has gained both Champions League and Europa League experience with the Red Bulls, while he has also been capped twice by the France Under-20s squad.

Villa 'could propose swap deal for Chelsea's Gallagher'

Aston Villa may reportedly be prepared to be creative in a bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

The England international has established himself as one of the Blues' key men, starting all but one of the club's 38 Premier League fixtures during 2023-24.

More recently, Gallagher dropping into a deeper midfield role has helped Chelsea record five successive league wins, securing sixth place in the standings.

Nevertheless, speculation persists that co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital remain intent on cashing in on the third-choice captain this summer.

Spurs 'set to allow 24-year-old to leave on free transfer'

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made the decision to part ways with Ryan Sessegnon on a free transfer.

When Spurs signed the left-sided player from Fulham for £25m in 2019, there had been high hopes that he would develop into a key player.

By the age of 19, he had contributed a phenomenal 25 goals and 28 assists from 120 appearances for the Cottagers, securing himself numerous accolades in the Championship and EFL in general.

He also enjoyed a season of Premier League football during 2018-19, chipping in with two goals and six assists from 35 appearances, but his transfer across London has proven to be a disaster.

Man United 'set asking price for Dortmund loanee Sancho'

Manchester United have reportedly decided on an asking price for winger Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer transfer window.

Sancho's valuation had plummeted once he was dropped from the senior ranks at Old Trafford due to a disagreement with head coach Erik ten Hag.

As such, United had to be open to loan offers in January in a bid to find a resolution, the England international eventually being allowed to return to former club Borussia Dortmund.

With no obligation or option to buy included in the deal, the understanding was that Sancho would spent the second half of the campaign at Westfalenstadion before returning to the Theatre of Dreams.
