Copenhagen will be bidding to return to winning ways in the Danish Superliga when they make the trip to Aarhus on Tuesday evening for their penultimate match of the campaign.
The visitors are third in the Championship round of the division, three points behind leaders FC Midtjylland, while Aarhus occupy fifth spot in the table and cannot finish any higher.
Match preview
Aarhus boast a record of nine wins, 11 draws and 10 defeats from their 30 league matches this season, which has left them in fifth spot in the table on 38 points.
The Whites are some 18 points behind fourth-placed Nordsjaelland, while they are only three points ahead of sixth-placed Silkeborg, who won the Danish Cup to secure European football for next season.
Aarhus only have pride to play for in the latter stages of the campaign, and the hosts will be bidding to end six-game losing run in all competitions when they take to the field for their penultimate match of the season.
Uwe Rosler's side, who finished third in the Danish Superliga last season, have lost each of their last five in the league and are winless in their last eight, with their last success proving to be a one-goal victory over Hvidore in the middle of March.
Aarhus have only picked up 19 points from their 15 home league matches this season, and they will be welcoming a Copenhagen outfit with the best away record in the division, securing 30 points from their 15 matches on their travels during the current season.
Copenhagen, as it stands, can still win the Danish Superliga title, with the team sitting third in the table, one point behind second-placed Brondby and three from leaders Midtjylland.
Brondby will head to Silkeborg on Monday evening, while Midtjylland are in action away to Nordsjaelland, so the current leaders could move six points clear of Copenhagen ahead of this match, which would firmly put the pressure on the Lions to pick up all three points.
Jacob Neestrup's side will enter this match off the back of a 2-1 home loss to Midtjylland, which ended a four-game winning run in Denmark's top flight.
Copenhagen will welcome Nordsjaelland in their final match of the season on May 26, and two wins could potentially put them in a position to win the title.
The Lions are the reigning Danish Superliga champions, securing their 15th title last season, and they will be bidding to secure their 10th away league victory of the campaign on Tuesday.
Team News
Aarhus will be missing a number of first-team players for their penultimate match of the season, with Janni Serra, Mats Knoester, Mikkel Duelund, Kevin Yakob and Michael Akoto on the sidelines through injury.
The hosts will also have to work around the absence of Eric Kahl, who picked up a milestone yellow card in the 1-0 home defeat to Silkeborg last time out.
Patrick Mortensen has been the team's main of source of goals this season, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions in all competitions, and he will again feature in the final third of the field.
As for Copenhagen, Andreas Cornelius, Roony Bardghji, Khouma Babacar, Nicolai Boilesen, Theo Sander and David Khocholava will miss the match through injury.
Mohamed Elyounoussi has been in impressive scoring form for the visitors this season, netting 13 times in all competitions, and he will again feature in an attacking position.
Orri Oskarsson is also on double figures, scoring 12 times, and he will operate in an attacking area, while Elias Achouri should also again be given the nod in the final third of the field.
Aarhus possible starting lineup:
J Hansen; Bejimo, Tingager, Anker; J Andersen, Knudsen, Poulsen, Madsen, Anderson; Bech, Mortensen
Copenhagen possible starting lineup:
Grabara; Vavro, Diks, McKenna; Ankersen, Clem, Mattsson, Meling; Elyounoussi, Oskarsson, Achouri
We say: Aarhus 1-2 Copenhagen
Copenhagen's away form this season has been excellent, while Aarhus have struggled for consistency at home. We are expecting Tuesday's contest to be close in terms of the scoreline, but Copenhagen have enough quality to navigate their way to a hugely-important three points.
