Manchester United captain Ashley Young is reportedly still hopeful of completing a move to Inter Milan this month despite the Italians moving for another left-back.
The Serie A giants are allegedly on the verge of securing the signing of Leonardo Spinazzola, who will arrive from Roma with Matteo Politano moving in the opposite direction.
However, according to The Sun, Young is still hopeful of securing a switch to Antonio Conte's side before the January transfer window closes for business.
The Englishman has allegedly been in contract talks with Inter, but it is understood that United are not prepared to lose their skipper in the middle of the 2019-20 campaign.
The 34-year-old has made 18 appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side but has only started one of their last seven Premier League matches as he is not first choice in either of the full-back positions.
Crystal Palace and Lazio have also both been credited with an interest in the former Watford youngster.
