Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland.
The Norwegian international is one of the most sought-after footballers in Europe and has been heavily linked with a move to the Catalan club as well as Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
According to Spanish news outlet TV3, Barcelona would need to fork out around £150m if they wish to sign Haaland this summer, as well as tabling a huge contact offer.
Barca currently have debts totalling to over £1bn and due to their financial predicament, a big-money move for any elite player in Europe, including Haaland, is unlikely.
In addition, the Catalan club's current priority is to ensure that talisman Lionel Messi, who can leave the club for free next month, signs a new contract to stay at Camp Nou beyond this campaign.
Haaland, 20, has made 40 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund so far this season, scoring a remarkable 39 goals and providing 12 assists. body check tags ::
