Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has insisted that Thomas Muller will not be leaving the German champions during the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old has struggled to earn a starting role for Bayern this season, and Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the attacker ahead of the opening of the winter market.
Salihamidzic, however, has claimed that his club will not think about selling Muller, having recently lost two key players in the shape of Niklas Sule and Lucas Hernandez to long-term injuries.
"[Muller being sold is] a story you want to write. We have two players out for months and you are trying to tell us to sell a player. There's no reason for doing this," Salihamidzic told Sky Sport Germany.
Muller played the full 90 minutes of Bayern's 2-1 win over Union Berlin on Saturday, but the attacker is yet to get off the mark in terms of goals in the Bundesliga this season.
The German is just two appearances short of 500 for his current club in all competitions.
