Jude Bellingham could reportedly yet stay with Borussia Dortmund next summer despite the widespread speculation surrounding the midfielder's future.
The 19-year-old could be at the centre of one of the biggest transfer sagas of all time in 2023, with a number of Europe's biggest clubs believed to be competing to sign him.
Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all said to want the England international, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also believed to be keen on his signature.
A recent report claimed that Real Madrid were the favourites for Bellingham, who would also choose to join the Spanish and European champions over any other club.
However, according to journalist Kevin Hatchard, there has not been a decision on the youngster's future.
Hatchard claims that Bellingham could yet decide to stay with Dortmund despite suggestions that he is already planning to leave the Bundesliga giants in search of pastures new.
BVB won the race to sign the Englishman from Birmingham City in 2020, and he has developed into one of the team's most important players.
Bellingham has made 108 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, contributing 18 goals and 20 assists in the process, boasting a record of six goals and 12 assists in 72 Bundesliga matches.
The teenager has also managed six goals and five assists in 21 Champions League outings since making the move to the German outfit.
This season, Bellingham has made 18 appearances in all competitions, contributing eight goals and two assists in the process, while he has also captained the Bundesliga side on two occasions in 2022-23.
The youngster has scored in four of his team's five Champions League games this season, while he played the full 90 minutes of Tuesday's goalless draw with Man City, which saw Dortmund book their spot in the knockout round of the competition.
Bellingham still has another three years left to run on his contract, placing the Bundesliga side in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the teenager could become the most expensive midfielder in history, with Dortmund believed to value him in excess of £100m.
Bellingham has been capped on 17 occasions by England, meanwhile, and he is widely expected to be in Gareth Southgate's starting side at the World Cup, which gets underway in less than one month. body check tags ::
