Steve Bruce is preparing a £10 million offer to bring Peter Crouch to Sunderland, the Daily Star claims today.
The Spurs striker is being sought by Bruce as he faces the likely loss of Jordan Henderson to Liverpool. Crouch was in talks with The Black Cats two years ago before signing to White Hart Lane.
The newspaper says that Bruce is looking to bring nine players to the club over the summer, with other targets including Man Utd's Darron Gibson and Wes Brown.
Crouch, who was largely absent from the Spurs first team last season, is thought to have three years remaining on his contract.
