Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Monaco defender Vanderson during next summer's transfer window.
The 23-year-old made the move to Monaco from Gremio in 2022, and he has represented his Ligue 1 side on 92 occasions, scoring seven goals and registering 12 assists in all competitions.
Vanderson has been in impressive form for the Red and Whites during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring once and providing three assists in eight appearances, including two assists in two Champions League fixtures.
There is currently speculation surrounding the Brazilian's future, with Manchester United thought to be admirers, while Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in his services.
According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are also huge admirers of the South American and have identified him as the ideal long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.
Real Madrid 'interested in summer deal for Vanderson'
The report claims that Real Madrid's chief scout Juni Calafat is pushing for a deal, with the defender potentially available for as little as €20m (£16.7m) during next summer's market.
Los Blancos will be missing their number one right-back Dani Carvajal for the rest of the campaign due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in his side's 2-0 win over Villarreal before the international break. Lucas Vazquez is set to fill in at right-back until the January window, when the club could consider a short-term option, although it is likely that Vazquez will continue in the role for the rest of the campaign. Eder Militao is also capable of playing as a right-back and is likely to be the second option, but Los Blancos are also short of central defenders, so Aurelien Tchouameni could see himself pressed into action in that position once again this term.
Do Real Madrid still want Alexander-Arnold?
Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold remains a top target for Real Madrid, with the England international yet to come to an agreement with Arne Slot's side over a new contract.
The 26-year-old, who has two assists in nine appearances for Liverpool this season, only has a contract at Anfield until next June.
However, Liverpool are believed to be confident of signing Alexander-Arnold to a new deal in the coming months, with the defender's first choice thought to be to stay with the Merseyside club despite the temptation of moving to the European champions. body check tags ::
