Chelsea have agreed a fee with IFK Goteborg for youngster Edwin Andersson.
While the Blues failed to make a first-team addition during the January window, work has continued behind the scenes regarding potential stars of the future.
Having been linked with 16-year-old Andersson for some time, Chelsea are seemingly on the brink of confirming the signing of the teenager.
On Goteborg's official website, academy boss Jonas Olsson said: "We of course wish Edwin good luck. We would have liked to have seen him stay with us but that he is being recruited to Chelsea is a good mark on our business."
Manchester United have previously been credited with an interest in the Swedish midfielder.
