Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly among the clubs ready to do battle for the signature of soon-to-be free agent Lucas Vazquez.
The versatile Spaniard is out of contract at Real Madrid this summer, and he is understood to have rejected Los Blancos' offers of a new deal, so an imminent exit is expected.
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have already been linked with a move for Vazquez, but it appears that the North London rivals will not be the only clubs pining for his signature in the upcoming transfer window.
According to ABC, Man United and Chelsea have now joined the race and are prepared to offer Vazquez a four-year deal, while AC Milan and Bayern Munich are also ready to bow to Vazquez's demands.
The report adds that Vazquez expected a pay rise in his new Real Madrid contract, but the La Liga champions insisted he take a 10% pay cut amid the coronavirus pandemic, and most of his suitors would be able to offer him more than the €3.5m (£2.98m) he currently pockets at the Bernabeu.
Vazquez boasts two goals and five assists from 22 matches in La Liga this season, and Zinedine Zidane has reportedly identified Levante's Jorge de Frutos as an ideal replacement. body check tags ::
