Chelsea are reportedly looking to hijack Manchester United's attempts to sign Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham.
The 16-year-old has been persistently linked with a switch to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season, having registered four goals and three assists in England's second tier during the 2019-20 campaign.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Bellingham's representatives held talks with Chelsea prior to the UK's lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has had unprecedented effects on and off the pitch, and the report also claims that any deal for the teenager is likely to be hindered if the season was to run until the summer.
Bellingham's current deal at St Andrew's will expire at the end of the 2020-21 season.
