Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer goalkeeper Dean Henderson a mammoth wage increase to make the switch to Stamford Bridge from Manchester United.
Having played a key role in Sheffield United's rise to the top half of the table during the 2019-20 campaign, speculation has been rife surrounding Henderson's future in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old is set to return to parent club Man United this summer, but despite David de Gea's turbulent campaign at Old Trafford, Henderson may not be guaranteed the number one spot under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Chelsea are therefore ready to swoop in and bump up Henderson's wages from £70,000 per week to £170,000 per week in the capital.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has affirmed that he would like to keep Henderson at Bramall Lane for another season, but Chelsea are reportedly desperate to bring in a new shot-stopper with Kepa Arrizabalaga struggling for consistency.
Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen has also been linked with a transfer to Frank Lampard's side, who face a crunch match with Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
