Manchester City are reportedly plotting a bid to sign Chile starlet Angelo Henriquez from right under the noses of rivals Manchester United.
The Red Devils are understood to have agreed a £3m move for the 18-year-old forward, however no deal has yet been finalised.
According to The Mirror, City boss Roberto Mancini was persuaded to make an offer for Henriquez by scout Gary Worthington's rave reviews of the player's performances at an Under-20 international tournament in Holland over the weekend.
Henriquez has scored 12 senior goals for Universidad de Chile is less than 20 matches.
