Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly give Eric Bailly a chance to impress during pre-season with the view to a regular role in the team during the new campaign.
Bailly missed the latter stages of the 2018-19 season with a knee problem, which has also ruled him out of representing Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.
United, meanwhile, continue to be linked with a number of centre-backs as the club prepare to improve their defence in this summer's transfer window.
Bailly has also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford over the last few months. However, according to ESPN FC, the 25-year-old is in the plans of Solskjaer heading into pre-season.
The former Espanyol youngster impressed during his first campaign at United following a move from Villarreal. However, injuries and a loss of form have restricted the defender to just 25 Premier League appearances since the start of the 2017-18 season.
